Working for my school as an events assistant I got to assist with concert after concert the first two months of school.

A band that came to fill in for Fefe Dobson after she cancelled the day before was the Joys, previously the Pop Joys. Opening off for beer commercial favourites Kazzer, the Joys blew everyone away. The four piece alternative rock band was lead by female singer Sarah Smith. Not only did they perform a collection of original songs they also had a 10 minute session of cover songs ranging from AC/DC to Nirvana.

My respect goes out to the Joys who are passionate about their music and like to have fun while they are doing it. They were by far the best band that performed at Humber this fall. For more information about this band from London, Ontario go to www.popjoy.ca
