Great style doesn’t have to be expensive…

Spring is almost here and you know what that means? A new wardrobe for warmer weather is looking for a spot in your closet. Move over Joe Fresh, Groggy’s new spring and summer lines have me jumping for joy!

This very affordable line of clothing is exciting because not only are the pieces very wearable and comfortable, but Groggy is yet another exciting brand that is Canadian!

Newfoundland native Amanda Moss began working on Groggy’s unique pieces in 2008 and although not a lot of time has passed, the line is really taking off (and for good reason!). Now designing in Montreal, Amanda uses her own sense of style, blended with top runway inspirations to ensure people of almost any income can look effortlessly fashionable.

Its women’s spring line features a vast selection of tanks in neutral blues, grays and whites with a splash of corral, red and purple. At first glance, the collection looks sweet and simple, but with a closer look at some of the dresses and tanks, the details are what make the collection a standout hit. The ruffle and bow details flow so well and are appropriately paired with simple leggings, jeans and shorts, but with exciting pop-out colours.

My absolute favourite piece of the women’s collection is a blue tank top with gorgeous contrasting black straps and a brilliant lace up design, and for only $40, it’s tough to find excuses not to pick up the eye-catcher.

With sexy one-shoulder shirts, adorable cardigans and blazers, comfortable capris, trendy leggings, stylish denim, cute tube tops and a unique variety of casual dresses and skirts, Groggy’s clothing can be dressed up or down and the versatility of the pieces are perfection!

The women’s summer collection (available after March 15th) features so many great items that can be worn anywhere from the beach to the market. With a price tag that everyone can afford (some items are less than $20!!), the line features four main styles to choose from: bohemian, sporty, denim-inspired and basics in both eye popping and neutral colours.

Sick of looking at that ratty old shirt your boyfriend wears around the house? Designed by Nadia Gilot, you can’t go wrong with the stylish set of tees, polo shirts and sweaters in Groggy’s men’s collection. With a variety of colours and styles to suit every man from the conservative dad in a cardigan to the skateboarding little brother in nothing but t-shirts, Groggy offers quality stuff for $30!

As a shopper who’s always looking for a deal, I think that Groggy is an amazing line because real people can wear this stuff. Both the men and women’s lines for spring and summer are a fantastic set of eye-catching pieces for a price that makes you feel like you’re stealing. The idea of getting a whole new summer wardrobe for under $500 is truly mind-blowing!

Definitely on my radar this season, Groggy clothing should be bookmarked on your computer (if it isn’t already!), at www.groggy.com
