Ian Halperin latest tome, UNMASKED: The Final Years of Michael Jackson

Ian Halperin’s latest tome, UNMASKED: The Final Years of Michael Jackson went to #1 on the New York Times Bestsellers List just weeks after its release on July 14th, 2009, following the King of Pop’s death. It also recently topped The Globe & Mail’s Bestsellers List in Canada. Acclaimed author Halperin worked on his in-depth exposé for five years. In December 2008, based on his research, he predicted Jackson was so ill that the singer had only six months to live. Six months and one day later, the King of Pop was dead.

Since UNMASKED was published, Halperin has been on a whirlwind media tour (CNN, Entertainment Tonight, NBC’s Today Show, Access Hollywood, The Insider), while following closely the efforts to unearth the true reasons behind the pop star’s demise. On Monday August 17, 2009, Halperin gave an exclusive Press Conference in the St Jacques Foyer at Hôtel Place d’Armes in Montreal (55 St Jacques, Montréal, QC, H2Y 1K9, 514.842.1887) and delivered astounding new details about the Jackson investigation taking place in Los Angeles.

In addition, a new expanded edition of Halperin’s other 2009 Canadian bestseller, Guy Laliberté: The Fabulous Story of the Creator of Cirque du Soleil is being released by Transit Publishing on September 23rd, 2009. At the same August 17th Press Conference, the author with a secret special guest in tow, Halperin gave exclusive glimpses of new revelations contained in this new edition of the first-ever biography of Cirque du Soleil’s founder.

These exciting new developments precede Guy Laliberté’s own news-breaking event, as he is scheduled to lift off on September 30th as only the seventh space tourist ever for a 12-day “poetic social mission” into space for his 50th birthday —at a cost of $35 million!

“I have never met anyone as interesting and inspiring as Laliberté” says author, Ian Halperin.
